My List Of Things To Do During Quarantine

Right about now, most of us are probably going crazy. This quarantine has been taxing mentally and emotionally. I am working from home, my wife is working from home, my 3 year old toddler is playing from home, and my 5 month old has definitely been screaming from home. It has been NUTS, but I wouldn’t change anything. I’ve had a chance to spend more time with my family, play more with my kids, and reflect on some things. Now what’s so bad about that?! NOTHING.

There are positives in every situation, sometimes you just have to look a little harder.

This will be a fun little blog, as I am just going to share with you a list of some things I am doing during this quarantine.

  1. Read your bible every day. Enough said. One cannot say they don’t have enough time!
  2. Work out. Run. Lift weights. But just move! My workout schedule currently is 3 runs a week and 2 strength training workouts a week. I have signed up for a Virtual 5k that I must complete by May 31st. I am running it on May 30th. Wish me luck. 3. Aside from reading your bible, read a book. Choose 1 book to read a month. I am reading Everyday Millionaires by Chris Hogan at the moment. Be looking for a book review soon.
  4. Learn a new skill. It can be a new language. Or a new instrument. But LEARN something. Idle minds are not good, especially right now.
  5. Journal. I have been journaling at night and have been using a really cool journal that a good friend of mine created, called The Cast Your Cares Upon Him Nighttime Journal by Benjamin Lee. It can be found on Amazon. With this, you write out a bible verse, write out your fears and concerns of the day, and then write out your prayers. Fantastic!
  6. Pray! Enough said on this one also. Prayer changes everything.
  7. Have more fun with your kids and spend more time with your family. These are times that you won’t get back!
  8. Call someone you haven’t chatted to in a while. Just check in. We all need this right now.
  9. One last thing: Don’t watch the news, but instead do any of the 8 things above as a replacement. Your life will be better because of it.

I hope this list has been helpful! Iron sharpens iron, so I’d love to hear what you are doing during this time.

Enjoy this time and do not worry, it will all be okay.

Til next time. God Bless. Be safe and be well!
