One More Night

9 Moses said to Pharaoh, “Be pleased to command me when I am to plead for you and for your servants and for your people, that the frogs be cut off from you and your houses and be left only in the Nile.” 10 And he said, “Tomorrow.” Moses said, “Be it as you say, so that you may know that there is no one like the Lord our God.

-Exodus 8:9-10

There were frogs absolutely EVERYWHERE!  Just think about that for a moment.  Frogs in the bathroom.  Frogs in the kitchen.  Frogs in the bedroom.  Everywhere you think of where a frog could be, there a frog was.  It was like a tube of glitter exploded,  but instead of a tube of glitter, it was frogs!

Frogs.  Frogs.  Frogs.  If I was in this situation,  I would with everything in my being try to find a way to get rid of these frogs.  I would look up frog extermination companies.  I would even possibly buy something on Amazon to get rid of the frogs.  I would not want to spend one more second with those slimy and noisy creatures.

All Pharaoh had to do was let the people go and the frogs would disappear.  He had one job and one thing to do.  And well, we know the story…

He didn’t do it.

He didn’t have a sense of urgency.

He was comfortable where he was.

He said, “I’ll spend one more night with the frogs.”

Sin in our lives is much like the plagues, even the plague with the frogs.  God so desperately wants to remove sin in our lives like God wanted to remove the frogs, but well, we know the story…

We don’t do it.

We don’t have a sense of urgency.

We are comfortable where we are.

We say,  “I’ll spend one more night in my sin.”

I encourage all of us to not wait until tomorrow, because tomorrow may never come.  Too many tomorrows turn into a lifetime of staying in a place where we don’t want to be.  God’s arm is outstretched and he wants us to grab onto it.  He wants us to have a BETTER TOMORROW.

Don’t delay.  Don’t spend another night with the frogs.  CHOOSE TODAY!

Journey on, brothers and sisters!
